The useful starting point
SheMed describes an at-home blood test within its assessment process. Confirm which markers are included, who reviews the result, how you receive an explanation and whether later tests have a separate charge. See the sources.
SheMed describes an at-home blood test as part of its weight-management assessment. This page explains what the provider currently says and gives you a checklist for the details that matter to you. It does not interpret blood results or confirm that a particular treatment is suitable.
Jinkies is an independent affiliate guide. Provider information here was checked on 26 October 2026. Your own order information and clinical instructions should establish what you receive and what happens next.
Where testing sits in the process
SheMed's “How it works” page describes a questionnaire, weight and identity verification through its app, an at-home sample and clinical review before treatment. It presents testing as a way to establish a baseline and inform assessment. Completing a test should not be read as a promise of a prescription.
Before ordering, ask when you will receive the kit, how to contact the team if collection is difficult, and what happens if a sample cannot be analysed. These questions are particularly useful if you need to plan around work, caring responsibilities or an upcoming trip.
Confirm the panel for your own plan
The provider's process page names HbA1c, thyroid, cholesterol and liver markers. Its FAQ also refers to kidney function. Because those public descriptions differ, ask for the exact tests included in your assessment rather than assuming that every advertised marker is always measured.
| Before collection | After the result |
|---|---|
| Which markers are included? | Who reviews and explains them? |
| Are any preparation instructions required? | How will I receive the report? |
| What are the return and packaging instructions? | What happens if follow-up is recommended? |
| Is a repeat sample included if needed? | Can I obtain a copy for my usual clinician? |
Follow the instructions supplied with your kit
Do not assume you should fast, stop a medicine or change your usual routine because another person's test required it. Follow the instructions for the kit you receive and ask the clinical team if anything is unclear. If they conflict with advice from another clinician, raise that conflict before proceeding.
Keep the kit information and any confirmation messages together. A simple note of the collection and return dates can make an enquiry easier if you need to follow up. You do not need to share your health details with an affiliate website to resolve a testing question.
Make the review useful
Ask the reviewing clinician what the findings mean in the context of your history, symptoms and existing medicines. Useful questions include whether a result needs repeating, whether your GP should be involved, and whether anything changes the proposed treatment or monitoring plan.
SheMed describes follow-up testing, but the timing and entitlement should be confirmed for the plan you choose. Do not assume a programme screening test replaces other investigations or appointments already arranged for you.
Separate clinical and contract questions
If the assessment does not lead to treatment, ask the provider which charges are refundable and whether any exclusions apply. Our plan-terms guide explains the questions to settle in writing. For ongoing contact and review arrangements, read programme support; for the wider assessment, see eligibility explained.
