How Jinkies researches and checks its guides

Useful information should make its evidence, limitations and commercial relationships easy to see.

Independent guide · We may receive a commission through SheMed links. How this works

At a glance

The useful starting point

Jinkies distinguishes provider statements, regulatory information and NHS guidance. Source checking, AI-assisted preparation and automated price collection do not constitute a clinical review.

What we publish

Jinkies is an independent UK editorial guide to SheMed prices, programme services and everyday support. We explain public information and help readers prepare questions. We are not SheMed, a pharmacy or a clinical service, and we do not decide which medicine is suitable for an individual.

Which sources we use

For medicine facts, we prioritise current UK product information, the MHRA and relevant NHS material. For SheMed’s prices and service descriptions, we consult SheMed’s own current public pages and identify them as provider statements. A provider’s marketing claim is not independent evidence of a clinical outcome.

Approval, availability, funding and individual suitability are distinct. When evidence is incomplete or public pages conflict, we say what remains uncertain. We do not fill gaps with invented qualifications, patient experiences, service entitlements or promotional codes.

Authorship and medical review

Articles are attributed to Jinkies editorial. Source checking is not the same as a review by a named medical professional. We do not label these guides “medically reviewed” or imply that a stock-photo model is a member of a clinical team. Readers should use their supplied patient leaflet and care team for treatment decisions.

Freshness and corrections

Article source-review dates describe editorial research. Price tables have separate successful-check timestamps and validation records, explained in our price-check method. A date is not refreshed simply because a page was visited or because an automated request ran unsuccessfully.

Send possible errors through our contact page. We check the relevant source, correct substantiated inaccuracies and update explanatory content when the evidence warrants it. Price-source failures keep the last verified figures visible with a notice.

Commercial relationships

SheMed links may earn Jinkies a commission. This relationship is disclosed near the article introduction and in the footer. It does not establish eligibility, make a first-order offer permanent or turn a referral link into a guaranteed discount. Read our affiliate disclosure for more detail.

Photography

Photography is illustrative. People shown are not presented as Jinkies staff, SheMed clinicians or patients giving testimonials. Images are resized, compressed and hosted locally for performance.

AI assistance and automation

AI tools assist the organisation of research, preparation of text and production of this website. The separate price collector reads fixed provider pages and checks complete dose-and-plan grids before accepting them. Neither AI assistance nor an automated validation is a clinical review. No named medical reviewer is currently attributed to these guides.

We describe what the evidence supports and identify what it does not establish. Public provider pages support statements about the provider’s advertised service; product information and regulators support formulation and authorisation facts; NHS resources support general patient information. We do not present an affiliate relationship as independent medical evidence.

How to request a correction

Send the page address, the disputed statement and a current public source to oh@jinkies.co.uk. Avoid sending private clinical or account records. A substantiated correction changes the relevant text; a fresh price request alone does not refresh the article’s editorial source-review date.

What each date means

  • Sources reviewed: the recorded review of the guide’s editorial references.
  • Price check: the last successful validation of the provider’s complete price grid.
  • Price values changed: the most recent accepted change in the stored figures, which can be earlier than the latest successful check.

A page visit, design change or failed collection does not count as a new source review. See the collection method and current status.
