Our price-check method

Prices checked daily. Dates you can trust.

A freshness label should describe work that happened. Here is what we check, what we save and what happens when a source changes.

Independent guide · We may receive a commission through SheMed links. How this works

At a glance

The useful starting point

The collector checks four fixed SheMed price pages and validates 88 dose-and-plan cells. Successful checks, actual price changes and editorial source reviews have separate dates; a failed request never makes a price look freshly verified. See the sources.

The latest successful checks

These records power every price table and summary on Jinkies. “Last successful check” means we obtained and validated the complete plan-and-dose table. It does not mean a clinician has reviewed the article, that stock has been confirmed, or that your checkout quote is guaranteed.

Automated checks are scheduled daily using WordPress. WordPress runs due tasks when the site receives a request; the successful-check timestamps above show whether a collection actually completed.

Schedule: scheduled. Next scheduled run: 3 Nov 2026, 22:55 GMT.

What the daily collector reads

The collector requests four fixed public SheMed pages: the Mounjaro page (/mou), Wegovy injection page (/weg), Wegovy tablet page (/weg-pill) and Foundayo page (/fou-pill). It reads the dose-and-plan values used by the provider’s table. It does not use search snippets, old marketing banners or guessed discount codes.

Each medicine needs a complete set of values for all four plans and all expected doses. Missing figures, malformed prices and conflicting duplicate cells fail validation. A large price movement is held for review rather than accepted without a check. One page failing does not prevent another medicine’s valid table being checked.

What a failed check looks like

A failed request never turns a price into zero and never overwrites the previous verified table. We retain the last good figures, record the failed attempt and show that the check needs attention. A record older than 48 hours is also flagged. The last-success date stays unchanged until a real successful check occurs.

Daily schedule and its limits

The live site uses WordPress’s daily scheduler. WordPress tasks run when the site receives a request, so a due check can be delayed on a quiet site or when hosting is unavailable. That is why the actual successful-check time matters more than the phrase “checked daily”. An additional scheduled monitoring task can check for overdue collections and failures.

A source check validates the public price table’s structure, not an individual customer’s quote. First-order conditions, clinical suitability, current stock and any targeted offers still require confirmation with SheMed.

Article dates and price dates are different

The article source-review date records when its explanatory sources were reviewed. The price timestamp records the latest successful collection for the table. We do not change article dates after an unchanged daily check or label an automated check as a medical review.

Report a discrepancy

If a figure differs from the selected plan on the provider’s site, send us the guide address and the public source. Include which dose and commitment you selected. Differences between a headline, a footnote and a table are worth identifying, rather than resolving by choosing the cheapest number.

Use the current price data

The public price-data JSON exposes the same records used by the visible tables. It contains four medicines, 22 dose rows and 88 plan-and-dose prices, with GBP as the currency. Each medicine record includes the source, last attempt, last successful check, last accepted value change and status.

The plan keys are monthly, m3, m6 and m12; dose keys are in milligrams. The lowest dose row for each medicine is a first-order offer. Do not interpret it as a confirmed repeat price, stock status, eligibility decision or treatment schedule. Keep the record’s date and status with any figure you use.

The JSON is a current snapshot with a limited check log, not a complete historical price series. A successful check can leave every price unchanged. The price-change date therefore differs from the successful-check date. If validation fails, the last accepted figures remain visible with their earlier successful-check date and an explanatory status.
